At the same time, the first phase of the “Cloud Terraced Fields” Heping Demonstration Village project is being advanced at a faster speed, which will help to improve the quality and upgrade of rural tourism.

 

On the high-mountain terraced fields at an altitude of 1,000 kilometers, villagers were busy transplanting rice seedlings during the farming season. The terraced fields are like clear mirrors in the sunlight, complementing the distant mountains and villages. 

 

 

The construction of the first phase of the “Cloud Terraced Fields” Heping Demonstration Village project was started from March this year, with such tasks as farmland restoration, rice field planting, and the design of supporting facilities for the scenic area in progress. The rice field planting work has entered the final stage.

 

The first phase of the project also builds signage gates, ecological parking lots, hiking trails, boardwalks, and landscape attractions. The project aims to become a national 3A level scenic spot by 2025. 

 

 

The second phase of the project will be implemented in 2026, mainly covering the construction of homestay inns, hotels, and scenic spots. 

 

 

Once completed, agricultural experience, ecological tourism, folk culture and other elements will be integrated to further promote the integrated development of agriculture and tourism in Guidong county and assist in rural revitalization.
