The 2025 Chenzhou Science and Technology Activity Week, together with a special event of visiting Chenjiang Laboratory, was launched on the morning of May 24.

This event comprehensively showcases the technological innovation achievements of Chenzhou. A lecture was specially given on the deeds of famous scientist Li Xingxue from Chenzhou to promote the spirit of scientists. A head of Chenjiang Laboratory gave a keynote report, detailing the laboratory’s research layout and development plan.
At the event, the intelligent technology exhibition area became a popular place, with mechas moving flexibly and robotic dogs swaying their bodies to the beat, attracting children to watch eagerly.
The installation and test flight experience of unmanned aerial vehicles made technology enthusiasts eager to try it out. The people’s livelihood science popularization exhibition area is full of the flavor of life, and the exhibition of biopharmaceutical experiments unveils the mysteries of life science.
The illustrations and specimen analysis of traditional Chinese medicine showcase the integration of traditional culture and modern technology, opening a door to the secret realm of science for children.
The highlight was the youth innovation exhibition area, where “scientific magic shows” were staged in turns. When liquid nitrogen comes into contact with water, it instantly produces a white mist. This simulation of the shock effect of an atomic bomb explosion caused continuous exclamations. In the nanotwisting experiment, the steel wire wrapped with special materials becomes flexible. The children all reached out their hands to touch for verification, exclaiming: “Science is so much fun.”
The AR intelligent science popularization terminal “Miss Qiu” and VR interactive experience brought by the 711 Study Red Training Education Camp was another highlight, attracting many students to queue up to experience it.
Hu Zhonghui, the project leader, introduced that they revitalize industrial heritage through digital means, allowing young people to experience the spirits of “Two Bombs and One Satellite” through technological experiences.
At around 11 o’clock, students, business representatives and citizens entered the Chenjiang Laboratory, where they had close contact with major sci-tech facilities and laboratories, and experienced the whole process of sci-tech achievements from R&D to application.
The Chenjiang Laboratory was established by the Municipal Party Committee and Government in October 2024 with the aim of breaking through the bottlenecks restricting the industrial development in Chenzhou.
The laboratory has five functions: pilot testing of scientific research achievements, technology innovation services, construction of technology alliances, industry incubation, and guidance for college students’ entrepreneurship.
The laboratory is committed to becoming a highland for technological innovation based in Chenzhou and radiating all over the country.
