Coreopsis is an annual or biennial herbaceous plant that can reach a height of up to 60 centimeters. Its flowers are large and bright, and when they bloom, they look like a golden rooster standing alone. 

 

This sea of coreopsis covers an area of about 200 mu (13.33 hectares) with a flowering period from April to August. Every year, it attracts many tourists to come and appreciate.

 

 

In recent years, the town government has leveraged its local resources to develop projects combining pollution control and ecotourism. So it has planted over 100 mu (6.67 hectares) of coreopsis and Gesang flowers with underdeveloped root systems which are tolerant to drought and cold, so as to promote the development of characteristic industries such as ecotourism and sightseeing. 

 

This not only beautifies the rural environment, but also increases agricultural efficiency and farmers’ income.
