2025 ‘Lin Dan Cup’ Badminton Chenzhou Open to launch in July

The 2025 “Lin Dan Cup” Badminton Chenzhou Open will be held from July 18 to 20, according to a press meeting held on May 27. The preparations, highlights and the achievements of the integrated development of sports and cultural tourism in Chenzhou City were introduced at the press conference.

The total prize money amounts to 804,000 yuan, an increase of 178,000 yuan compared to last year. The prize money for the men’s singles championship is as high as 200,000 yuan, and that for the mixed team champion is 150,000 yuan. 
 
Unlike regular events in which only the top three players win prize money, this event rewards the top 32 players in the men’s singles group and the top 8 players in the mixed team group, aiming to motivate more high-level players to actively participate.
 
Participants can sign up for the 2025 “Lin Dan Cup” Badminton Chenzhou Open from June 8 to July 4 through the official Wechat account of the “Lin Dan Cup” Badminton Open event. The event consists of men’s singles, mixed team and youth matches.

The “Lin Dan Cup” Badminton Open is a super badminton tournament named after Lin Dan. After retiring, Lin Dan has been promoting the development of badminton, with the “Lin Dan Cup” as one of the important measures. 
 
Since 2020, the “Lin Dan Cup” Badminton Open has been held in Bao’an of Shenzhen, Chenzhou, Xinchang, Macao and other places, attracting thousands of players from China, Malaysia, Canada and other countries and regions. It has gradually become one of the important badminton events in China and abroad.
 
In recent years, the city government has been promoting the integration of sports and tourism, as well as sports and culture through competitions. Up to now, Chenzhou has held the “Lin Dan Cup” Badminton Open for three consecutive years, which helped it enhance its influence and international visibility of Chenzhou, and accumulate rich experience in competitions.
