Liu Huanhua secures two gold and one silver medals at 2025 Asian Weightlifting Championships

Liu Huanhua, a Paris Olympic champion, won the gold medal in the men’s 102kg category at the 2025 Asian Weightlifting Championships on May 14. He lifted 180 kg in the snatch and 230 kg in the clean and jerk, for a total of 410 kg, winning the gold in the clean and jerk and total score and the silver medal in the snatch.
Liu Huanhua, a native of Xiaxingluo Village, Jinping Town, Jiahe County, Chenzhou City, was born in August 2001. He is a Chinese male weightlifter.
In June 2013, he was selected by Li Fei, the coach of the weightlifting team of the Fifth Middle School of Jiahe County, to start learning weightlifting.
In September of 2013, he began to train at Hunan Provincial Sports School. He was admitted to Tianjin University of Sport in 2018 and joined the national team in March 2022.
