Yongxing county sees fruitful results in sports development

Cao Wanqi, an athlete from Yongxing County of Chenzhou City, won the second place in the women’s 52-54kg category in the 15th National Games at the 2025 National Women’s Boxing Championships and the 15th National Games Boxing Qualification Tournament held in Xi’an, Shaanxi Province on April 29. She obtained the qualification to represent Hunan province in the 15th National Games.
Two table tennis players Hu Zichen and Luo Zimeng from Yongxing County won the first place in the children group competition and fifth place in singles, second place in the children team competition and third place in singles respectively at the 44th National Children’s Table Tennis Tournament held in Hebei Province on May 5.
In recent years, the county government has built sports facilities and venues, improved public sports services, and actively organized national fitness activities and competitions, making efforts to promote sports development in the county.
It has also vigorously promoted the integrated development of mass sports, school sports, and competitive sports, stimulating the enthusiasm for national fitness throughout the county.
