The Kuomintang mobilized troops to encircle and annihilate. At that time, Fan Shisheng’s troops were stationed in Rucheng County. To protect the revolutionary forces after the Nanchang Uprising, Zhu De went to Rucheng County to negotiate with Fan Shisheng for cooperation from November 19 to 20, 1927 and they successfully established a united front.
